About Me

Proudly serving the Calgary and surrounding area (Banff, Canmore, Airdrie). Also available for destination and out of town projects.

I have been a passionate and diligent photographer for the last 6 years, turning professional in 2009. I have formal training and a great deal of experience in the field. A portion of my training includes being taught photography at TASIS England by the renowned artist John Smalley and training at Loyalist College for photojournalism. I have experience in the field as the Photography Manager for The Cord Weekly where I lived and breathed photojournalism for two years.

During my time with the paper I received 3 awards (2 Photographs of the year, and Photographer of the year). After my stint with the paper and going to College, I feel confident that I am adequately prepared to take on any photo and creative challenge that I encounter.

I have found that being 22 years old is an asset in this field. While meeting photographers who have been in the business for 20+ years, I notice that many of them feel burnt out and frankly have lost their passion for photography. I certainly have not, and my passion for this art grows with every shoot I do.

My Philosophy

Creating the highest quality images on a timely basis.

My personal mandate when it comes to photography is to create the highest quality and creative images on a timely basis, all while acting in a friendly and professional manner. Being proud of my images is my first priority and I hold myself to a very high standard.

Creating an open and trusting client relationship

I love to get to know my clients, it's the photojournalistic side of me. This is great for two reasons. One - it allows me to get to know exactly what you want and work towards any expectations you have. And two - you can become comfortable with me before a shoot. This allows for more relaxed and natural pictures as I am simply not some stranger behind the camera.

My Equipment

I use only the top of the line equipment in the industry.

I have invested many thousands of dollars in equipment to ensure that you get the highest quality photos possible. I use two Canon Bodies (5DmkII and 50D) as well as Canon L-Series lenses. My lighting equipment comes from Manfrotto and Elinchrom.
